I’m a blog stalker, this comes as no surprise. In fact, I’ve confessed this a time or two. What I haven’t mentioned yet, is that one of my FAVORITE things to do is go into the archives of a blog I really like and read their VERY FIRST post! Is that funny (weird) or what?!
The reason I like to read a historical post is I like to see how far people have come…occasionally a blog is dedicated to a journey, such as marriage, pregnancy, or even grief. No matter what, though, that story is beautiful.
I look at my own first post…it was a silly post about my birthday and how my sweet friends Jennifer and Clare had surprised me by pounding on my door (before I was awake), kidnapping me for breakfast, then took me shopping in Beverly Hills. It was a tough year for me, and I’d been living in the blahs…this wonderful surprise showed me how much they cared, and I loved it, even though I so rudely awakened. ; ) Back in ’05, my blog was a scrapbook and I mostly posted pictures and random stories, I read this now and I wish I had expressed my gratefulness to my special friends… http://www.theblahblahblahger.com/2005/11/someone-else-had-birthday-this-week.html
