Tool Talk Tuesday: Electric Sander and Spray Paint Gun

Meet my new LUVAH…the electric sander. This little goody can change your life. I’ve wanted one for a while now and when I decided it was time to take on some bigger projects, I knew I absolutely HAD to have one.

A couple of weeks ago, I ran down to the Depot and got my flirt on worked with HD professionals to determine which was the right sander for me. This gem was really affordable and it made sanding a BREEZE!

After I purchased the sander, I decided to refinish my stools that belly up to the kitchen bar…the wood finish wasn’t bad, but I wanted a darker finish because they visually sat in my living room where I have a combination of black and cherry.

I took the advice of my many DIY Diva blog pals and decided to spray paint the stools. (Specifically, I watched Jenny Garland’s tutorial, which was SUPER helpful!) After I sanded the first one, I wiped it down, then used a spray primer. I didn’t expect my hand to be so sore after one coat of primer…but then I found THIS GENIUS CONTRAPTION! This $5 piece of plastic is somebody’s gold mine and I wish it was mine!!!! It made painting SOOOOO easy!

I love my new tools because they took my stools (nice rhyme, huh?!) from drab to FAB!!! What do you think? Big improvement, huh?!?!?!?!
