I NEED THIS…I may not have any projects that require hammering right now, but I keep seeing the commercials on tv and I salivate. It’s a sickness, yes, but if it’s wrong, I don’t want to be right.
Do any of you fabulous DIY Divas have a Craftsman Auto Hammer or something similar? If so, I need to know your thoughts ASAP before I run to the Depot and buy one…and some wood…and some nails.
On another note, if you’re an RSS or email subscriber, can you do me a favor and leave a quick comment? I just want to make sure that everything has transferred over properly since I switched over to the new blog!!!
Lastly, Tool Talk Tuesday was too much pressure…now Tool Talk will happen sporadically…when I have time or something special to write!

The feed is working fine
Everything seems okay on this end–no interruption via Google Reader.
jen…i think you need one and i think you can start by building me a display case for my craft shows…it would be a fabulous starter project
I’m an email subscriber-everything works fine for me.
And I had no idea they made these hammers!!!! I am going to have to get one!!!
Hadn’t heard about the auto hammer yet. It’s one of those things that makes me wonder why no one thought of it sooner! I can just see my toddler wanting to hammer everything with it, though…hehe.
I SO want a drill that does this. But I get excited about this hammer tool too. Of course I say the whole song and dance of “What kind of a man uses a hammer like that?!?!?” Then I realize I’m a woman and honestly I just got a manicure and if I can hang pictures and other items without chipping the paint, I”m sold!
That being said these are really rad for tight places and all men should have them in their tool belts – I just like to give my boyfriend a hard time
I have the Auto hammer. As a short gal who doesn’t have a lot of strength in my hands because I spend too much time on the computer, I love it. It’s the right amount of extra oomph! I sometimes need to drive a nail into a hard wood.
The only thing I wouldn’t do is use it for finish wood because the rotating head can leave a divot in your wood (that may stop with more practise on my end though.)
Oh BTW Kelly I can tell you what kind of man would use this hammer. My father in law. He needed to replace some drywall in his pantry and didn’t have room to swing a regular hammer. He didn’t want to remove all of the shelves on the wall either. He asked to borrow my auto hammer. Which is a first a guy asking ME?! to borrow tools.
