OH BABY BABY, OOPS I DID IT AGAIN!
The Britney lyrics were a must for this post…because the subject is just as disgusting as the song! On Saturday, I went to my cousin’s house for her hubby’s birthday. They are some of my favorite people in the whole world…and they are QUIRKY with a capital Q…and so are their friends! As I was thinking of what I wanted to take to their bbq, I just got the giggles and knew I had to make the kitty litter cake again. I had a feeling that this crowd might embrace the cake more than my other friends. And I was right!
I walked into the party with the cake in my arms and on my way out back to show the birthday boy, I was stopped by several EWWWs and LET ME SEE THAT; I even posed for a couple photos with it! Finally, Bryan told me I was SO SICK, but then he gave me a kiss on the cheek and I knew that I’d done good. When we tore into the cake later on that night, there were lots of smiles and happy tummies. It is a crowd pleaser for sure and if YOU have quirky friends, I encourage you to make it right away!!!
HOW TO MAKE THIS CRAPPY CAKE {tee hee hee}:
CAKE INGREDIENTS
1 box chocolate fudge cake mix
1 box of yellow butter cake mix
1 package white sandwich cookies
1 jar of whipped vanilla frosting
1 box of food coloring
1 container of decorating frosting
SERVING “DISHES AND UTENSILS”
1 NEW cat-litter box
1 NEW pooper scooper
1) Prepare and bake cake mixes, according to directions, in any size pan. Crumble cookies in small batches in blender or food processor. Add a few drops of green food coloring to 1 cup of cookie crumbs. Mix with a fork or shake in a jar. In a seperate bowl, mix whipped frosting with a combination of food coloring to appear a light brown. Set aside.
2) When cakes are at room temperature, cut into small pieces and put them into a large bowl. Toss with the now brownish frosting. Place mixture in litter box. Cover contents with cookie crumbs.
3) Mix food coloring and decorating frosting to a darker brown and place in a sandwich bag. Cut off the end of the bag and “decorate” till your heart’s content. Sprinkle remaining white cookie crumbs over the mixture, then scatter green crumbs lightly over top.
By the way, late at night, and after a few adult beverages, I totally found one of the cats and held it over the half eaten cake…yes, I’m THAT fool!

ewe…. that is seriously gross
I don’t think I could bring myself to eating that, maybe if it didn’t have the fake poops… your funny.
Only you…this post made me LAUGH, LAUGH, LAUGH! And you KNOW, I would completely 100% make this!
I’m a first time visitor — and now following you. All I can say is…THIS. IS. AWESOME! Totally just blew spit bubbles. I’ve gotta bookmark this recipe…thanks for sharing!
Poor kitteh looked traumatized in your TwitPic…
I’m confused.. why do you specify a *new* cat box and scoop? I mean, I have 4 cats so I’m sure I could just use one of my extra boxes.. why go out and buy a new one? I just don’t get it, JJ!!!
stopping by from sits and that cake looks yummy..might have to make it for my kids
We’ve done this….shock value at putting it on a table at a get-together is funny!
However…..we use tootsie rolls that are warmed for a few seconds in the microwave ….. uh yeah, pretty realistic!
I was just curious. It would have to be really quirky friends and just the right party. I don’t think I have friends like that–maybe I should find some:)
its the “gross ever”
That is hysterical! Sounds good too. I might have to make this for our next gathering.
I’m feeling a little woozy right now. Somebody fetch me my smelling salts.
Disgustingly Fabulous (:
Hysterical! I’ll be keeping this recipe in mind for the right kind of party/people.
This totally cracked me up! I am going to have to try it! Loved the cat pic too!
I wish I could attach a picture so you can see what my cat thought of it. I think he thought it was the real thing!! LOVED IT!
Uhhh, that’s just a bit too realistic looking for me. But I’m the kind of person who can’t even be around people talking about gross stuff while I’m eating. My husband would like to go into great details about the walk with the dogs and whether they did their business or not and I raise a hand to say, “that’s enough!”
BTW, I’m so glad you specified “new” cat litter box and scooper. It’s not enough just to wash them off!
Rotfl!! I LOVE IT!! I’m doin’ this as soon as possible… I need a “back atcha” to do to my family. Thanks for the weapons. LOL! =)
Visiting form SITS as usual!
Oh, I’ve had this cake before. SO FUNNY.
Stopping by from SITS. Love the blog!

Yup, that’s pretty gross alright! Funny too, but you really got to have the right crowd!
Oh, too cute. I am thinking this would be great for a BIG birthday, when you feel like poop!
