Next Friday, I’m heading to Maui for 10 days with my mom, dad, sis, and her BF. I CAN’T WAIT! This trip is sooo needed. I’ve got a lot going on at work right now and life just seems nuttier than usual. My plan is to lay by the pool with a frosty adult beverage (yes, I’ll be ending my booze fast the moment my feet touch the ground), read a few books, do some snorkling, and eat yummy ice cream. I’ll also run a 5K and play golf a couple of times with my daddio.
So, you may be wondering what this has to do with the photo of my dear friend Clare on her wedding day. Well, before a trip I always worry that I’ll leave something home that I need…I’m sure you feel the same way. However, I’ll always remember what I need because this little stinker left her wedding dress in a cab at LAX the day she left for her wedding in Cabo. Thank GOD for a kind cab driver who tracked her down in security!!! Her crazy forgetfulness has taught me to be EXTRA careful before I leave for a big trip!
Now that THAT’S out of the way, what have you left behind on a major trip? And closer to home…what should I remember to take with me to Hawaii???

Oh i love Maui! You’re going to have a blast! I seriously had tears in my eyes when I left there…I went for two weeks and just fell in love with the island! Have fun!!!!!!

I can’t remember leaving anything major behind on a trip, other than leaving a pair of earrings that I’d just bought at a restaurant. I had come straight from the store to meet friends for lunch, plopped the tiny bag on the table, and promptly forgot all about it. Now, I tend to keep purchases in my purse or right next to it. Lesson learned!
