LESSONS

When I was a little girl, I wanted to take all sorts of lessons…dance was naturally at the top of the list, but so was horseback riding, all sorts of musical instruments, ice skating, sewing, singing…you name it.

It just occurred to me, that not much has changed in 30 years.

I take dance class once a week.

I take tennis class once a week.

I take occasional golf lessons.

I take occasional photography workshops and mentor sessions.

I’ve taken cooking lessons this year.

I took sailing lessons this year.

All of these things are fine, but trust me when I tell you that just about once a month, I have a new idea or “oooh, I should totally get into lessons for that” moment and it seems perfectly justifiable at the moment.

Does this mean I have an insatiable quest to learn new things? That I have a short attention span and am easily bored? Or that I just want to do it all?

I can totally see my parents rolling their eyes at the child I still am deep down inside. ; )

I am a life long learner too. I think learning keeps my brain engaged and active.

I think that’s awesome. I think everyone probably has those thoughts too, I know I do! The difference is, you actually go do it! Good for you!

I loved it when you were a little girl and I love it still today that you want to learn new things…. If only you would have practiced those piano lessons alittle more……………….
