35 BY 35: #13 & #14

This week, my 35 BY 35 challenges are going to be easy and instantly accomplished because they’re Texas related and guess what?!?! I’M IN TEXAS!

#13 – Spend the Day with My Godkids

My sweet goddaughter and godson live outside in Austin (with their parents!) and I try to see them once a year. However, I’m pretty sure I missed my visit in 2010. : (

On Saturday, I flew into Austin to spend a few days with them and we hit the ground running the moment I landed! We grabbed lunch at an old favorite (Jason’s Deli), then went to a four year old soccer game. Afterward, the boys rested while the girls shopped. Then we made dinner and watched Hoodwinked (cute movie).

Yesterday, we went to church then went to see the new Spy Kids movie. We’ve spent great quality time and I can’t wait for our next couple of evenings together!!!

#14 – Go to a TCU Game

On Saturday, my Horned Frogs will face Louisiana Monroe and I can’t wait to see the game from the almost-finished remodeled stadium! I was fortunate enough to attend a game last fall AND the Rose Bowl!

When I was in college, the games weren’t nearly as fun as they are now. That could have something to do with the fact that the team was atrocious, and it also could have something to do with the fact that tailgating was not permitted. : )

I’m so happy to be in Texas, my happy place, and I love that I get to continue making memories here long after I lived here!!!
