35 BY 35: #15

I’ve been losing weight and firming up, and as a result, some things in my closet have started not to fit. Some of them are worth altering, but some just aren’t making the cut. As a result, I’ve invested in a couple of new wardrobe staples lately, but always look in my closet with confusion each morning.

#15 – Organize My Closet and Create “Outfits”

I got an email from Banana Republic yesterday about creating 31 outfits with 13 pieces. It didn’t make me want to go and buy a bunch of new stuff, but rather look inside my own closet to see how I could essentially do the same thing with what I already had! (I’m sure my mother is relieved right now!)

    I’ve never done it but this reminds me of those challenges where you pick so many items of clothing (including shoes) and can only wear those things for 30 days. It’s a bit extreme but I can see how it would force you to better shop your closet and come up with interesting combinations. I just try to do that on my own.
