For my big 35th birthday celebration, I decided to have a friend of mine, a homebrewer, make up and brew a few different kinds of beer for my guests. I stopped by on Sunday while he and his buddies were bottling and saw their operation.
I also got to sample the goods.
And they were freaking awesome!
Yes, this wino loves good beer, too…be not confused.
What really impressed me the most, though, was how my pal and a couple of his good buddies, started with a small operation, then really fell in love with the process of brewing beer. They have turned their little hobby into a passion, which has grown into something that could be something even more some day!
I’m excited to share the beer with my guests and I’m really excited to see a good friend succeed with his passion!

That’s so cool, Jenny! I have a few friends and relatives that make their own beer from time to time but I’m not sure that I’ve sampled more than a sip before. I’m sure I have but it must not have been very memorable.
