Don’t feel bad. I caught mine on fire within the first 2 months of purchasing it. It happens.
Wow! That’s scary. I remember the very first time I used a microwave. I was babysitting and the family had just gotten it. I wanted to warm up the baked potatoe that was wrapped up in aluminum foil. Ha! Don’t do that. LOL!
