Just last week, I stumbled upon a blog post by The Burlap Bag that boasted a recipe for 2 ingredient cookies…that were healthy and delicious.
AND I WAS SKEPTICAL.
I like to cook, but baking is really not my forte. With that said, sweets sure are. And given that I’m always watching what I eat, the idea of a healthy and tasty treat really intrigued me.
So I decided to give this recipe a try…all the while doubting that the cookies would be all that good.
1 cup of quick oats and two smooshy bananas (plus craisins) and I was in business.
I preheated the oven to 350, threw the first two ingredients in a bowl…
then got to smooshin.
I threw in a quarter cup of craisins…
then baked them for about 17 minutes.
AND SURPRISINGLY, THEY WERE GOOD!
The banana flavor is obvious and the oats give a really dense and chewy consistency. For me, the craisins provided a pop of flavor…but I’m certain I would have enjoyed them just as much with chocolate chips. : )
I’ll definitely be stopping by The Burlap Bag blog again sometime soon, but I won’t be doubting their recipes. These healthy little cookies were enjoyed by me on Saturday night and again by my sis and her BF on Sunday. I was surprised by the good flavor and by how easy it was to whip these up. Sometimes, you’ve just got to try something new and let your tastebuds impress you!
Linking up with Tasty Tuesday, because these healthy trips really were quite tasty!

I will def be trying these! I’m such a sucker for cookies and need something easy.. but my pants are getting tight so I really gotta lay off the snickerdoodles.
definitely going to try this! although bodie is known to eat 3 bananas in one day, so finding smooshy bananas can be a challenge! maybe just hide some from him
Ohhhh! This is an easy idea. You know what? This would be great for a fast breakfast on the go, too! LOVE it. Thanks, Jen!
Jaw on the floor. YOU CAN MAKE COOKIES OUT OF WHAAAT?!
I saw this and I doubted it too – but YUM.
