I Can't Sit Still

I don't know about you, but sometimes I get so excited about something new that I want to do ALL THE THINGS and do them RIGHT NOW! But I'm also in a season where I realize that slowing down and taking a breather is a good thing. It's Spring and the sun is shining here in Southern California...I need to remind myself to soak it in and experience renewal rather than just relish in the rush of daily life.

When I was a little kid, my brother and I found my mom’s manual breast pump when we were playing one day.

We used it to suck each other’s faces off.

It was the coolest toy EVER.

Until my mom explained how she used it.

Then we gagged and yelled things like “GRODY TO THE MAX!”

We played with regular toys after that.

The end.

  1. Did you end up with a bruise on your face? Because trying to explain that away might be a whole other issue.

(One time, I found my son eating cereal proudly; he had poured his own milk out of “this little bottle, Mom.” Yeah. It was breast milk. I didn’t tell him.)

  2. LOL! I can SO see my kids doing this…

    • They’re right around the same age as we were when my little sister came along…maybe it’s time to have another baby. πŸ˜‰

  3. Hey, nice to see you on here! I’ve been blog stalking you ever since I stumbled upon your site a few days ago. And I laughed out loud when I read this post. You are awesome.

    • So glad to see your name pop up! Clare was just over last night and I was asking about you. πŸ™‚

  4. Only you, Jen. Only you.

(Thanks for the chuckle. I needed it.)

  5. This made me laugh OUT LOUD, bending over out loud. Thanks for that. Although the image I’ll carry with me today may not prove to be one of my faves.

  6. Kelly says:

I have not heard the word “grody” in YEARS!!! Love it.

  7. dying. LOL
